The Newton Advanced Fellowship Research Activities
On the 10th of August 2018, there was an award ceremony for the winners of the 2018 short clip and photo story competitions under the theme of ‘International Student Life in Thailand’ at the Okura Prestige Bangkok, Thailand.
There were also presentations on the Newton Advanced Fellowship Research Project, ‘Enhancing the Quality of International Student and Staff Mobility Experience: Narratives from International Students and Academics across Different Regions in Thailand’, a meeting with the policymakers from Bureau of International Cooperation Strategy (BICS), the Office of Higher Education Commission, Ministry of Education and a training on ‘Researching Internationalisation in Thai Higher Education: Problems, Pitfalls and Practices’.
These activities were funded by the British Academy and Thailand Research Fund and organised by the project leader, Dr Navaporn Snodin.
The concept of my video is to show, through the narrative parts as well as the visual clips, the highlights of my experience living and studying abroad in Thailand, as well as my everyday life in Bangkok, and share my thoughts on what is it like to be an international student in Thailand and what I learned through this experience.
